About promo codes

The promo code is convenient for getting acquainted with Setapp in better conditions. Promo codes are only available for new users. Setapp promo codes can:

  • Provide you with a discount for your first payment and/or
  • Extend your trial period. 

Usually, you can get these codes from famous bloggers or our marketing specialists.

Note: Promo codes apply only to new users.

Activate a promo code

So, you’ve got a secret promo code, and now you wonder how to activate it. Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Redeem Promo Card page.
  2. Enter your promo code and click Continue.

  3. Now, you can create your Setapp account. You can use your Apple or Google account to sign up. Alternatively, enter your name, email, and password. Click "Create account."

  4. Depending on your promo code, you'll be given either an extended trial period or a free month of the "Mac" plan. At this stage, you can choose either a monthly or a yearly subscription; however, you can change it later at any time.
    Note: If you change the subscription plan at this stage, the promo code benefits will be canceled. However, if your extended trial or first-month (in some cases, first-year) discount is over, you’re welcome to upgrade your subscription plan.
    Click "Start your trial."

  5. If asked, enter your credit card — no worries, it’s a standard step in our registration flow. You’ll be charged only if you continue after your promo ends.
