Manage your devices — Macs, iPhones, and iPads

You can view all your devices using Setapp in your Setapp account > Manage devices page. 

Disconnect a device

If you no longer use a specific Mac, iPhone, or iPad with Setapp for any reason (for example, you might have sold it), visit the page and click Disconnect. Then, your Setapp slot becomes available for another device.

Exceeding the device limit

You might wonder if you want to use more devices than those included in your plan. At the current business model, we do not sell extra device seats. If you connect an extra device to Setapp, for instance, the fifth iPhone, to your "Power User" plan, then the first connected iPhone will be automatically disconnected, and we'll connect your fifth iPhone.

How does a new device become connected to Setapp?

Actually, once you start using Setapp or Setapp Mobile on your device, it automatically connects, and you can see it in your Setapp account. Just in case you'd like to know how to start using Setapp on each device, read the article further.

Start using Setapp on Mac

To link your Mac, install Setapp on it and sign in to your account. Once you sign in to Setapp on Mac, this computer is connected.

Start using Setapp on your iPhone or iPad

iPhones and iPads connect automatically when you install and activate an iOS app that is authorized through Setapp. 

Connect from Mac

For most of the Setapp plans, except for the "iOS" plan, you can install and activate iOS apps from your Mac. To do this, simply open the app page on the Setapp desktop, click Get iOS App, and scan two QR codes — the first one links to the App Store, where you can directly download the app, and the second one activates the app.

Connect from iPhone or iPad

For all the plans that include iOS devices, you can also connect your device from the device itself. From your device, go to your Setapp account > iOS Apps, find the needed app, and click Get next to it. Then, complete these two steps:

1. Go to the App Store and install the app.
2. Go back to your page and activate the app.

Once you activate the app through Setapp, your device will be connected.

Start using Setapp Mobile on your iPhone

Once you install Setapp Mobile and sign in to it, your iPhone is connected.
