Passwords are easy to forget — and easy to hack. That’s why, starting February 5, Setapp will switch to one-time PIN codes for secure sign-in. You’ll also use them for important actions, like changing your account email or removing your account.
What will change?
On February 5, all Setapp subscribers will be signed out. To sign back in, you'll need to use a one-time code.
Note: If you sign in with your Apple or Google account, you can keep using it — nothing will change. But if you prefer, you can switch to the one-time code method.
For subscribers who use email and password
Here’s how to sign in with a one-time code:
- Click "Sign in to use apps."
- Enter your email address.
- Check your inbox for the one-time code.
- Copy the code and paste it into the next screen.
That’s it! You’re securely signed in.
