Sign in and out of Setapp on a Mac

Usually, you're automatically signed in to Setapp on your Mac, especially if you install Setapp right after registration. But sometimes you may need to enter your credentials manually; this article shows you how. 

Note: When you sign in to your Setapp account, it doesn't automatically sign you in to the Setapp desktop on your Mac.

Sign in

1. Open Setapp and click Sign in to use apps in the top-right corner.

   

2. Your default browser will open. Enter the email you used while registering in Setapp, then click Continue. If you've registered with an Apple or Google account, click the corresponding button to sign in.

   
    

Note: If your Setapp account was created with an email address and you sign in using Apple or Google with a different email, a new account may be created. If the email addresses match, Setapp will offer to link the accounts for easier sign-ins.

3. Setapp will send a one-time code to the email address you provided (or the one linked to your Apple or Google account). Copy the code, paste it into the fields on the screen, and click Sign in. If you don’t see the email, check your spam folder.

After signing in, you’re automatically taken to your Setapp account and can start using apps right away.

Sign out

Click your profile picture, and choose Sign Out.
