AI credit one-time top-ups

Top-ups are available exclusively to users with an active AI credit subscription. If you run out of credits before your renewal date, you can purchase a one-time top-up to keep using AI apps without interruption.

Note: A top-up is a one-time purchase — it won't renew automatically. Top-up credits are valid for 12 months from the purchase date.

How to buy a top-up

1. Go to your Setapp account and open the AI credits page.
2. Click Add credits.
3. Choose the top-up pack that works for you:
   • 2,000 AI credits — $6.00 USD
   • 5,000 AI credits — $10.00 USD
   • 10,000 AI credits — $20.00 USD
     
4. Click Add credits and complete the payment.

Your credits are added to your balance right away.

How top-up credits are spent

Credits are spent in this order: from your plan, then from your AI credit subscription, then from your top-up.

Example

Meet John. He's on the "Power User" plan with a Boost AI credit subscription. His Setapp plan renews on December 10, his AI credit subscription — on December 15.

December 1 — John's balance:

• 0 plan credits (used up before renewal)
• 500 subscription credits left from his Boost credit subscription

He buys a 2,000 credit top-up. His balance: 500 + 2,000 = 2,500 credits.

December 10 — By this time, John spent 1,500 credits: 500 from his subscription credits (used up) and 1,000 from his top-up. Top-up credits left: 1,000.

John's plan renews. He receives 6,000 plan credits for his "Power User" plan. His balance: 1,000 + 6,000 = 7,000 credits.

From this point, credits will be spent in the following order:

• 6,000 plan credits first
• 1,000 top-up credits last

Starting from December 15, when he gets 30,000 credits from Boost, credits will be spent in the following order:

• plan credits first, if any
• 30,000 AI credit subscription
• top-up credits last, if any.
