Setapp's innovative AI Assistant is designed to manage more complex and nuanced queries than a conventional search can handle.

When you type something into a regular search, you enter an exact app name or a task — in other words, you must know precisely what you are looking for. However, our AI Assistant can guess your needs and suggest a solution.

How the AI Assistant enhances your Setapp experience

1. Intuitive suggestions

The AI Assistant can predict your needs and recommend the most appropriate apps or solutions.

2. Comprehensive assistance

The AI Assistant is equipped to address a wide range of Setapp- and Mac-related inquiries, ensuring you have reliable virtual support.

When relevant, the AI Assistant will provide you with a direct link to an article, or an app's page, or even include the Install App button within the provided answer. 

How the AI Assistant operates

The Setapp AI Assistant uses the power of ChatGPT, OpenAI, as well as our own pre-trained models to deliver accurate and contextually relevant responses.

Note: The Setapp AI Assistant is not designed to handle ongoing conversations. It interprets each new message as a separate conversation.

To support AI Assistant, Setapp runs a new process titled Setapp Limited. You could see it under System Settings > General > Login Items.
