We understand that there might be some situations when our users may not be able to pay a regular monthly fee, for example, due to credit card expiration. Or, the Setapp app may fail to receive a payment confirmation if a user is offline.
Therefore, we've established a 14-day grace period, which starts after the end of the subscription period if Setapp doesn't receive a payment confirmation. In this case, those customers who have paid for Setapp's monthly subscription at least once continue using it seamlessly and have 14 days to resolve possible payment issues.
If Setapp receives the payment confirmation till the end of the grace period, the user is billed a regular subscription fee + taxes. Otherwise, we are forced to suspend the account.
Later, if the user decides to renew the account deactivated due to a payment failure, they need to pay a regular subscription fee and a fee for 14 days of the grace period (+ taxes). For example, if your recurrent fee is $9.99, then the total amount to be paid will be around $14.50 (where $14.50 = $9.99 + $4.50 + taxes).
