Note: Setapp Mobile is an alternative iOS marketplace that is available only in the EU. You can use your apps worldwide but install and update apps only from the EU territory. Your iPhone must run iOS 17.4 or newer, and your Apple ID country must be set to an EU member.

What is Setapp Mobile?

Setapp Mobile is an alternative iOS marketplace that is available only in the EU. Apple had a monopoly on iOS marketplaces for a long time, but recently, EU legislation changed, opening doors for new companies. This is why we have only released our iOS app now and why Setapp Mobile is only available in the EU.

Setapp Mobile provides you with dozens of apps under a single recurring subscription. The number of apps will grow.

Note: Setapp Mobile only works on iPhones, not iPads or Apple Watch.

What is the difference between Setapp and Setapp Mobile?

There are three main differences between these products:

Apps

Setapp Mobile is a new and separate product. App developers must sign a new agreement with Apple to distribute apps in Setapp Mobile. The new agreement contains new requirements and shares responsibilities differently, so not all apps from Setapp decided to join. On the other hand, the apps that couldn't join Setapp for different reasons before can now join our Setapp Mobile. We can guarantee that the quality requirements for both products are high.

Ways of distribution

iOS apps in Setapp can only be installed from the App Store and activated via Setapp desktop or web.

In contrast, Setapp Mobile has its own iOS app that serves as an alternative iOS marketplace. 

Localization

Setapp supports 6 European languages (English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Ukrainian) and Chinese. 

Setapp Mobile is oriented toward the EU only and supports more European languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Polish, Romanian, and Ukrainian. However, be aware that the apps we provide may not support all these languages.

How can I get Setapp Mobile?

We also released a new plan, "iOS Advanced," which includes both iOS apps from Setapp and Setapp Mobile at $9.99/€9.49 monthly or $107.88/€102.48 yearly.
