Moving from the previous (obsolete) to the new "Family" plan

In May 2023, we released a new “Family" plan, and we stop supporting the old family plans. The new "Family" plan offers Setapp apps for 1 Mac and 1 iOS device for 4 people. We considered the most popular usage scenarios and your feedback, so we genuinely hope you will love the new plan.

Why did you withdraw the previous family plans?

Setapp is a relatively new product. We wanted to find the most suitable family plan formula when we started. We tested plans for different combinations of family participants, active devices, and platforms. Finally, we found the best solution, but managing our previous family plan leftovers was challenging. That’s why we want to get rid of them. 

What’s my new plan? Will I pay more?

No, the price won’t rise for any of you. For some of you, the price will even decrease. Please find your current subscription plan in the table and see your new plan and price. 

What’s the difference between loyal and regular "Family" plans?

In addition to the regular "Family" plan, we also introduced the Loyal "Family" plan for our loyal subscribers who had used the loyal plan before. The plans differ in price, number of participants, and number of active devices. Please check out the table for more details.

Note: You can switch from the loyal to the regular “Family" plan at any time, but you cannot switch from the regular to the loyal “Family" plan.
