If you've ever used Setapp personally and now you're switching to a Setapp team, your accounts might get confused. This article explains how to avoid it.
So, the problem is: after installing Setapp for Teams on your Mac, it might automatically sign you in with your personal Setapp account. To check if that's the case, open Setapp on your Mac, click your profile picture (upper-right corner) and check the email below your name.
If the email belongs to your personal account, switch to your team with these steps:
- Open Setapp and choose Setapp > Sign Out.
Alternatively, click your profile picture and choose Sign Out. - Click "Sign in to use apps" on top of Setapp, or just choose Setapp > Sign In.
- In the "Hi there" dialog, click "This is not me" to avoid signing in with your personal account again.
- In your next steps, specify the email and the password used in Setapp for Teams. Once done, click Sign In.
Congratulations! Now, you're 100% sure to join your friends or colleagues in a team.
Note: If you sign in with your personal Setapp account, the Setapp system won't recognize you as a team member, and you'll be charged for an individual subscription. For this misunderstanding not to happen, make sure to use the correct account.
